I've consistently heard excellent things about the Petite though, and it's a fairly good price, so I went with it. I found one used for a bit less than what they are going for new, and will hopefully have it in a couple of weeks. Thank you both for commenting! When we were back on our feet I bought the Strauch Petite. Now, mind you, I don't do a lot of carding since I discovered the ease of fiber mills. I do some but it does get to my back (one spring I carded 12 lbs of fleece... in a week). The Petite works great for me - keeps me from overdoing it.
