Hmm. Should I?

I really do want to attend the Madrona Fiber Arts festival in January, but can I afford it? The classes are great prices, considering the duration, but I’d have to take at least Friday off of work, and then there’s the hotel, etc. If I go, I’d want to do the full on experience, even if it’s in my backyard.

Anyone else out there thinking of going? If so, what classes are you considering?

  1. I’m interested in the Jean Wong classes, but I don’t have an immediate use for them, and they take up so much time that could be used with different teachers.

  2. Dude, I wish I could go. Alas, the money, it is just not here this year. I really want to take some of the spinning classes, and more specifically the fiber prep classes, but that’ll have to wait. I wonder if I can find someone to come over to my house and show me how to use the stuff I have. A personal tutorial, really. One-on-one time that would, in the end, probably be just about as productive. I do enjoy taking classes so you get to see different POVs that might not come to you if you were doing your own thing, and of course meeting new people can be fun, but I just don’t have the money. Foo!
