Twists of Fate

Maybe I’m a paranoid old fart, but w/out a clearly outlined privacy policy for the “meme” research thing going ’round the knitblogosphere, I’m not participating. I mean, it’s a great market research exercise, should some big ass yarn company come along and ask for the results. Granted, I know nothing about the ethical guidelines of academic research, and have no real idea of how this information will be used, aside from presenting the topic at that panel. I’m very likely overreacting.

But seriously - why would I volunteer that info w/out knowing what the ultimate, end use of the information is to be? I get enough crap from Lion Brand in my mailbox, you know?

I guess it all depends on the purpose of your blog. Me? Not so much with the traffic - this is most a space to brain dump, and to occasionally post some knitter/spinner eye candy. And rant. Don’t forget the rants. :D
