I’m not dead yet!
Just moving. I’m about 93% complete, and exhausted. Somewhat astonished by how much crap I’ve managed to accumulate since my last move, but generally glad I’m nearly done.
Also, the next time anyone complains about my stash, I’m bringing up the fact that the hero model of NCC-1701-D went at auction at Christie’s for half a million dollars. As a Trekker, I just about wet my pants. Also, I just about ate my liver (or my tattoo) with envy over whomever scored The Big D.
If I ever get too embarrassed about my fiber obsession, I’ll just remember that I inked my very first love into my skin, share the obsession with people who wear pointy ears for recreation, and who occasionally go to language camp to learn Klingon.
This post brought to you by Star Trek: Beyond the Final Frontier, on the History Channel tonight, and the fumes emanating from bubble wrap, packing tape and a veritable forest of cardboard boxes.
