I think it up and went. Maybe it’s having an affair with a mojito, working under the principle that like (spelling) attracts like.
Exhibit A? Doing a sock cuff in 2×2 ribbing, and, when rearranging the stitches on the needles so there’s an equal number on each, discovering I had an odd number of stitches. Um, wha? Does not compute, except apparently in the moiraeverse.
I’m in the middle of the doldrums – work has, apparently, broken my will to live. I can barely manage to concentrate on the simplest of tasks, I hurt all the time, and I’m feeling really stuck with all the things I’ve been trying to learn. Can’t concentrate, can’t sleep very well, hate work, I’m constantly hearing the rattle of irritated rattlesnakes in my mind…. All of this is leading to a very cranky moirae and very little if anything actually being done.
It doesn’t help that this is my birth month, and my Cancer self is moody to begin with. Add a hella lot of stuff in Cancer in my natal chart, and a lot of activity in the astral skies at the moment, and rationally (which might be a strange thing to say about astrology)? I understand why I am feeling the way I am. But it doesn’t help with living it.
So, I’m doing a very Cancerian thing, and retreating into my shell a little bit, resting, taking stock, sleeping and hopefully getting some crafting done. I haven’t really had the chance to do so in *months*, and now more than ever I can tell that I need it if I hope to maintain any kind of balance in my life.
So. Socks. Spinning (maybe). Stashing, eventual unpacking, photographing and catagorizing thereof. Stitching even, as I enjoy the cross stitch and want something pretty for my new home.
