Instead of tackling a new complicated project I just started yet another Truly Tasha shawl, which is garter stitch forever with an edging - but you can put that off for a long time by starting ANOTHER shawl just like it to be edged some day. Garter stitch is such a wonderful fabric and I like to knit it really dense since it stretches, and it looks SO good in variegated or "nearly solid" yarns. Garter on Girlfriend, Garter on! I need knitting as therapy, knitting as a process. Knitting to soothe my soul. People complain about how boring garter stitch scarves are. I knit them all the time.
